Postcards from poor decisions

Original Hard Block Life poster art built from the project’s own characters, vehicles, equipment, wildlife and architecture. It is cinematic artwork—not a gameplay screenshot.

The current beta

The city is the weapon

No campaign promises disguised as features. These are the systems in BUILD 70, playable now behind the beta gate.

Mine it

Roads, walls, trees and ground are material. Read the strata, prospect coherent veins and open routes through connected caverns beneath the city.

Voxel world · caverns · prospecting

Build it

Raise a lair, organise real storage, enter lower-storey rooms and take the stairs to a roof. Validated room-world edits survive reconnects.

Construction · interiors · persistent worlds

Take it

Rob neighborhood shops for dirty cash, steal cars with physical weight and decide when to launder the take. Sites remember repeat work; casualties bring ambulances.

● BUILD 70 · Live now

The crowd got simpler. The hits got louder.

BUILD 70 replaces ordinary pedestrians with tiny block-built civilians whose six reactions remain readable at phone size. Lethal precision and close-shotgun hits can remove the limb they struck, while axe, pickaxe and shovel use distinct physical arcs in your hands and on nearby players.

  • Simple block-built crowds
  • Six readable civilian reactions
  • Detachable terminal hit regions
  • Physical tool arcs in first and third person
Online rooms, live now

2–8 delinquents

Start the same seeded city, share edits and player state, then cooperate or settle it with a scoreboard. Validated room-world block edits now persist on a dedicated shard; live player presence and solo browser saves remain separate.

The beta access code and the in-game room code do different jobs. Do not send your beta code in chat.

Five-letter room code

Created inside the game so 2–8 players can return to the same server-backed block world.

Captured in the real build

These ten-second, silent loops were recorded from real Hard Block Life gameplay—no generated art, rebuilt interface or imitation UI.

The public roadmap · no suspiciously precise dates

Unfortunately, I have plans

BUILD 70 carries persistent worlds, dirty-cash consequences, ambulance response, enterable rooms, authored storefronts and weapons, simple block civilians, physical tool arcs, staged mining cracks, miniature pickups and installed Windows, Mac and Arch builds. Planned work remains visibly separate.
